I’m old enough to remember the first Barbie. Loved my Mitzi & Ken dolls. Mother must have made a jillion clothes. My dolls still come out a Christmas. What a joy to share through generations. Thanks for teaching me about the Barbie Channel, Becky.

Gotta love Barbie! I can relate with you finding Barbie all through the house. My 9 year old watched this with me and asked when we could get U-verse so she could have that channel. Hopefully soon! Great video, Becky!

I made a long-ago Barbie an entire wardrobe of little-tiny well-fitting clothing to enhance her figure. (Go figure….what was I thinking?) It would be hard for kids to pass up this chance to spend more time with her! As for Ken, well, where are guys when you’re looking for them?

Oh, Roxanne – U-verse is the bomb! http://www.att.com/uverse Your TV, internet and voice all run over your existing phone lines. Converging those services gives you options you simply can’t get with cable or internet.

I have been waiting my entire life for this. Never thought that it would happen. Presented in your unfailingly intelligent, informative, and most Barbie like manner. Thank You. Thank You. Thank You.

Great one, Becky! Reminds me of the Christmas when our three girls got the Barbie kitchen, Barbie fast food restaurant, and Barbie campsite. There were a million pieces, but what fun setting it up! (Ken watched.)

The Barbie Channel is the only Barbie in our house of 3 boys. I guess that’s karma for cutting off her hair and tying her to a rollerskate for a down hill adventure!

      Sooo funny!!
      Love watching your videos!
As for Barbie, I raised 3 boys and haven’t gotten
to really know her. However, with 2 grandaughters
      now, I probably will.

You need some male perspectives so I will speak for:
Ken the Barbie-barian and his cousins Conan the Barbarian and Conan O’Brien the Born Again Night Show Host.

The world may think that Ken and Barbie are plastic and stiff, but it just comes from defensive evolutionary mechanisms. We are only that way when you look at us or touch us – like turtles in their shells. Once given our privacy, we are warm and cuddly and not extraordinarily dimensioned. Now you have this darned U-verse program where we can be watched 24 x 7! Plastic reality now rules the day!

This will be a very welcome change from watching SpongeBob when our grandaughters come visit. The oldest one (6) is a “girly” girl and loves Barbie’s clothes. The younger one (5) is a tomboy and loves Barbie’s cars! Together, they make a pretty good team. Thanks for keeping us up to date and smiling.

Great video and very imformative. Our 26 yr old daughter is now reminding us that Santa never brought her the Barbie Hot Wheels. Maybe I can substitute for the Barbie channel!! Thanks, Becky.

Stepping on Barbie must have hurt- all of those sharp angles! So far my boys haven’t shown an interest in Barbie or Ken but you never know. Doesn’t stop me from looking into the Barbie channel myself. Thanks for the information.

I think Barbie has a special place in all our childhoods. My Grandmother lovingly made custom clothes for my Barbies. I also always wondered why my Barbies never came with shoes after the first one. I learned as an adult that my dad got one of those pointy shoes between his toes in the middle of the night and from then on my mom very carefully removed all shoes from future packages :)

That was fun to watch! Carolyn had Barbies too. I wonder if she knows where any of them are now? I bet if we looked we could find a few around the house.

Love it, Becky! My sister Sue in New Mexico is an artist who has used Barbie in some of her collages. My personal childhood Barbie is on display in Sue’s home, although I have told my sister that she is just on loan.

When my sister Mary told me about the Barbie Channel on U-verse I immediately went to the channel and checked it out. Mary has U-200 and I have U-450, and we both have it in our channel line-up. Anyhow, when my sister Sue comes over tonight to visit we will definitely check out more of the features on the Barbie Channel. They are more geared to a young Barbie collector rather than a mature Barbie artist, but we will enjoy checking the channel for updates together.

When we were little, we played with Barbies together. Now that we’re adults, we play with U-verse together.
