What a great idea for buying clothes for my granddaughters who are far away in Fort Bragg, NC. Much better to have mom approve the purchase before I pay the US Postal Service money to send something they can’t or won’t wear. Birthdays are coming up, so I’ll be able to put this tip to really good use!

Great idea! I can give you my shopping list. You know, we have less than 6 months until Christmas…..
Seriously, this could be a great youth service project. They could help shut-ins from your church with their shopping—just get the list and send the photos back to the homebound member for purchase approval.

Becky…you are too much.. don’t I wish I’d had that when shopping for shoes for the boys. They wouldn’t go with me to choose what they wanted… So..be it dress, tennis shoes…etc. I’d buy 2 sizes…& 3 styles and then make 3 trips returning things…
They’d practically have to get barefoot before I’d do that…. by then I was a bitchy–nagging mother!!!
Thanks… I’ll forward this to my daughter in law..it may save her from strangling #3 grandchild… thanks hug hug mayme

Becky, I love the video. I often do the same with my husband and daughter since I’m the main shopper in the family!!

I just had to do this when buying water guns. I would have been in big trouble if I brought home the wrong water guns!

Well this is a great idea!!!! See today .. Kids are all “COOL”.. so who wants your mom (or in my case) your grandma buying you pjs or any item of clothing !
In order for those kids to “remain cool”.. and for us to “stay cool” calm and connected – I would use this idea for a variety of shopping needs!!!!
Thanks for a GREAT IDEA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LOL! I swear I’m doing something similar with my niece, Jennifer! She just graduated with her Hotel/Restaurant Management degree and has her first corporate job with Disney in Orlando. Having attended 4 years of high school in sleep pants and 5 years of college in sweats & t-shirts … she was clueless on how to dress “corp”. I get pictures and text of her in various outfits for approval of what to wear to work. I also get pictures of shoes to determine if they pass — did I mention a lifetime of flip-flop wearing? Awesome video, Becky! You nailed our adult support roles perfectly!

Great idea! I’ll try this w/my husband and 21 month old soon but for now, they like to tag along. Unfortunately, I think their shopping list for me will come from the electronics & game section

This would be great for shopping for my 1-year-old granddaughter, who lives out of state! When she gets a bit older, she can point and choose by herself.

Just make sure that the store allows photo taking. In the ‘organic grocery’ where I ‘part-time’, no outside photo taking is allowed.

Love it! I’m hoping Irina doesn’t ever realize that children get to pick out their own clothes… I continue to bring them home for her!!! No telling what would happen to my credit card if she knew she could make some selections WITH me!!!!

You can buy me pj’s anytime…I’m not fussy in the least as long as you are doing the buying!
What a great way to save time and money by getting the ‘blessing’ before the sale is made! Are you going to use this method to get Keith his Father’s Day present??

I just did this recently buying swin trunks for my 15 year old son. You know boys hate shopping, but they sure can be picky about what they wear sometimes!

I do this also with my Home Depot ‘honey do’ lists so I need not forget what I am ‘commanded’ to do by the queen of the house. They make for great two-way radios when you are trying to hunt down the queen….joe

Becky, great idea. You get to be alone for a little while yet shop with the daughter! Our granddaughters are too young for this right now but time flies. Thanks for the idea.

Sending photos by phone helps me when I see some hone “decor” item I want approval on. With the less is more approach enforced in our household, surely saves a bunch of return trips. Great video.
