GPS apps and maps on our phones – c’mon, that is straight out of a science fiction movie! Think about it, the stuff we’ve seen in so many movies over the last 10-15 years we are actually starting to see. That blows my mind. I recently switched phones and have found so many things to be so much easier. I can be pretty much anywhere and accomplish just about anything that I could otherwise accomplish at my office. I absolutely love it!

Blackberry’s not known for its apps the way iPhone is, but Ubertwitter and Twitterberry are my friends.

I am just amazed at how technology has evolved. I love being able to stay in contact with friends and family wherever I may go. The downside, sometimes I’d like it if people couldn’t get in touch with me, but that’s what the off button is for I guess. Looking forward to the further advancement of mobile technology in the future.

It seems that with each passing year the need for nearly constant connection becomes greater. You actually miss out on stuff, if you don’t have frequent access.

Oh my gosh, when we couldn’t afford to keep our mobile service it was horrible. I mean you don’t realize just how dependent you become.

I couldn’t imagine 20 years ago. Actually I couldn’t imagine life without my iPhone now. I am on that thing constantly checking emails, tweeting and following up with all my family and friends. AT&T keeps me connected at all times and life before mobile phones… well that’s ancient times!

my iPhone lets me be so mobile that it just amazes me. Of course there is the phone connection, but the email, using tweetdeck to keep up with twitter, I can use my facebook app to keep up there. The calendar alone that is able to sync so easily with Outlook 07 is very helpful when setting up appointments when I’m not at home, I can send pictures instantly via MMS or email. I have a few apps for my son like the driving test app (he gets his permit in a couple of months), a countries app for studying geography on the go, a spanish app for learning another language. Plus there are apps to help me keep up with my health, and then the fun things like Yahtzee to kill time! All can be done anywhere, anytime, with the iPhone!

I have an ipod touch and a very basic cell phone, and the combo makes me amazingly mobile.

I was laughing the other day, because years and years ago I had a Palm Pilot for a job that I had. And I thought that was an amazing little tool with just the basic things that it can do. Now? My measly little ipod touch can do things that the computers I played with in high school couldn’t even do!

I use a LOT of fitness apps. Apps for tracking calories during the day, for planning workouts, etc. I also use music apps (love Pandora Box), and I love the ease of checking my email anywhere there’s a free WiFi hotspot, which anymore is really, really easy to find.

I love the fact that technology today allows us to be more mobile and do so many more things than I could do as a kid. Nowadays, I can’t imagine life way back when before cell phones lol. And my teenager and 7 yr old look at me funny when I tell them about the good old days-lol. The only thing that stinks is that it is now illegal to drive in Maine while talking on a cell phone…
