If you live in a big city where you are constantly finding stores, salons and restaurants you didn't know, or if you are visiting a big city, it's a feature I'd use when on food, too. It’s so convenient. I would suggest trying it out for the first time to some place you are familiar with so you can focus on using the feature and not worry about where you are going. I have AT&T, but I do not have a Smartphone, let alone one with GPS.
